A global crisis situation has rarely required such a rapid rethink as the current corona pandemic. As a special machine manufacturer of foam cutting machines Baumer also supplies mattress manufacturers. Hospitals worldwide are currently increasing their capacities, which has led to an increased demand for hospital beds. As a consequence, a manufacturer of medical mattresses reached its capacities and urgently needed another cutting machine to cut the foam of hospital bed mattresses in order to be able to deal with the inquiries.
Thanks to the flexibility of Baumer of North America, the company was able to reschedule an existing order for a foam cutting machine to the mattress manufacturer in consultation with the customer. Within a very short time BOA delivered the urgently needed machine to help the company out of the emergency. But that's not all: BOA fitters installed the machine in record time so that it was quickly put into operation.
